A Dever Nightmare: Part 2

A friend of mine, Ali, was once walking the grounds of Dever State School late one night when she saw a bright stream of lights floating beside some of the dorm buildings. She went to investigate and couldn't believe what she saw before her. A real life Dever UFO. Before she had a chance to run, the UFO scooped her up and Ali was never the same when she was seen after that night.

Look Out Ladies

Ladies Beware!! Look under the lid before you sit down every time, because you never know when Mr. Meister might be creeping.

Welcome Back Mr. Meister.

A Dever Nightmare

Clark, Cambria, and I were walking through the Dever cafeteria building one day, doing our whole exploring thing, when out of nowhere jumped three Soup Kettle Monsters. We were no match and were thus slowly boiled and eaten.

Coming Home

OMFGYO! Abandoned Dreams went to The Devers! They're SO fucking cool!

Anyways, we got bored late in the day, so to commemorate the return of Abandoned Dreams member Mr. Meister from Florida, we decided to head to Dever. By the time we got there, we had just enough sunlight to check out a few buildings and walk across the campus through the tunnels. Wasn't really in it for the photos today, I just missed my home away from home. I've been neglecting her.

The Twin Towers

James, from the Dark Ascents crew came down and we headed to CT for a rare find. A single site containing two cold war long lines towers. We decided not to pussyfoot around and headed for the taller of the two. Around the 120 foot mark the wind picked up to a good 25 miles an hour and at that height, you really feel it. With the wind getting worse by the minutes, we headed down and took a few shots from the ground before heading out. We'll be back to these towers for sure.

W&L Laboratories

Not actually a laboratory, but there was a lab room and it was my favorite of the factory, therefore the name. I've spent the last 15 or so years of my life living right down the street from this place. I noticed a few weeks ago a lack of cars parking there everyday. A few days ago I took a walk over to take a peak in the windows to see if it was actually abandoned now, and when I got there all the windows facing streets had been boarded. Pretty clear answer. I walked through the woods next to it, hopped a fence and found a back entry. Didn't have my flashlight or camera that day, but this afternoon Cambria and myself decided to head back. I had a hard time shooting, but here's what I left with.
